Hand Crafted Natural Indigenous Furniture and Crafts
With its unique rustic character and setting in the tranquil Welbedacht valley just 3kms from Knysna on the famous Garden Route of South Africa, Timber Village is generally recognized as the showcase of the beautiful woods of Knysna's famous forests. Timber Village specialises in the manufacture and retail of custom made hardwood furniture. The range includes coffee tables, TV cabinets, bars, counter tops, dining room suites, bedroom suites, chairs and other custom-made items.
The wood used is mainly indigenous to the Knysna area and includes Yellowwood, Blackwood, Stinkwood, Hard Pear and White Pear.

We cater for domestic and corporate furniture and wood decor requirements, architects, developers and tourists. Products include hand crafted tables and chairs, cabinets, bars, counter tops, doors, beds, bowls, carvings, flooring, and wood signs - in fact anything you require in solid woodcraft. And what you can't find in our showroom, can be custom-made to meet your individual needs.
Apart from enjoying the unique opportunity of observing the craftsmen at work, visitors are also enlightened about the important process of sustainable harvesting of indigenous timber and told about the different trees and their uses. School and other groups frequently come to Timber Village for interactive educational outings.

Once you have decided on the design and chosen a wood type, your idea will be converted into a tangible product in our in-house workshop with the option to receive photos of the work in progress.
